republica hostel & suites was a lovely and romantic place to stay in porto. the old building was beautifully decorated, and my room had a breathtaking view over the city. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the daily room cleaning and great breakfast made my stay even better.

The beds were stable, although a bit small for taller guests like myself. The breakfast was great, and they even accommodated my early check-out by offering to prepare it earlier for me. Additionally, I forgot a small electronic device, and they kindly offered to send it to me. my stay was awesome.

The location of the hotel was very convenient, with a metro station nearby and a direct line to the airport. It was also possible to walk to the city center and downtown area. Another advantage was the excellent kitchen facilities, which allowed guests to cook their own meals with all the necessary equipment provided.

One of the negative aspects was the noise coming from the reception area, which could be heard even after midnight. The soundproofing between the reception and the rooms was not ideal, making it difficult to sleep peacefully.
